In 1997 he started his dance education at Dance World Melbourne. In 2000, he continued his education at the New Zealand School of Dance where he graduated in 2002.
His professional career started when he joined the Suomen Kansallisooppera, Finnish National Ballet in 2002. In 2003 he went on to the Royal Ballet of Flanders in Antwerp, Belgium, where he became a member of the corps de ballet. In 2005 he was promoted to half-soloist.
During his professional career he danced in pieces from William Forsythe, David Dawson, Marcia Haydée, Douglas Lee, Jacopo Godani, Jiri Kylián, Tero Saarinen among others.
He was invited to perform at the gala’s of the 2nd International Ballet Gala in Bodrum, Turkey, The New Zealand School of Dance 40th anniversary and the Finnish National Ballet Gala for Dinna Bjorn Farewell, where he danced his own choreography Momentary.

In 2007 he created Counter Balance for Coupe Maison of the Royal Ballet of Flanders, which was restaged for the International Dansfestival of Interdans in Lebbeke in 2009. In 2008 he choreographed Momentary for Coupe Maison 2 and for the Finnish National Ballet Gala for Dinna Bjorn Farewell. Momentary was also restaged for the Interdans Festival of 2010. In 2009 he created Largo.
In 2009 he was selected as one of the five finalists to choreograph for the Uncontainable Project of the Royal Ballet of Flanders. For this project he created Trittico. This choreography was also partly performed in the Interdans Festival of 2010.
In 2010 he created Eight for Eight.
Except for 2011 Craig has been always a part of the artistic team of Interdans and will be choreographing again this year.
